The Facilities, Finance and Analytics Administration (FFAA) has a great an opportunity for a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Fiscal Analyst 1 to join our team in the Consolidated Business Services 2 located in Buckley, WA.
As a Fiscal Analyst 1 you will perform professional, entry level financial review and analysis of accounting, budgeting, auditing or fiscal data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, governmental auditing standards, budgeting guidelines, statutes or regulations. Some of what you'll be doing:
Assist higher level staff and financial summary information, analysis of financial reports and development of fiscal procedures
Prepare adjusting entries in various local fund accounts
Reconcile fiscal statements, prepare journal vouchers, reflecting expenditures and transfer of funds
Prepare entries to record and liquidate encumbrances
Support Accounting Supervisor and CIBS Central in production of reports, responding to inquiries and participating in data gathering
Custodian for Fiscal purchasing credit cards; assists in the reconciliation of credit cards
Input time and attendance information for DSHS Rainier School through the Human Resource Management System (HRMS)
Balance Leave Tracker with HRMS standardized reports within allotted time frame
Run standardized payroll and related cost reports
Update the Leave Tracker Property Screen with staff information
Coordinate with in-house and field offices on time and attendance issues
Act as the point of contact for the agency's payroll office
Assist employees with time attendance issues
What we're looking for:
Ability to lead and motivate others to achieve team goals
Excellent and effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to process large quantities of fiscal data with consistency, accuracy and efficiency within tight deadline
Ability to coordinate and work effectively with other people
Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing workload demands
Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage a large workload
Experience using payroll and/or time and attendance software programs
Experience with data-entry with a high level of accuracy
Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and basic math skills
Who should apply?
Professionals with a Bachelor's degree, which includes at least 18 quarter or 12 semester hours of accounting, auditing, or budgeting AND one to two years of relevant professional experience;
Other financial work experience may substitute for BA education, but not credit hours;
Master's degree in a financial related field, certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager or Management Accountant can be substituted for professional experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
